My name is Michaela Kilian and I am currently a lecturer at Harmony Academy and also at Petrasso - the centre for alternative foreign language education. English has been my passion since I was a little girl. I started to study it intensively at the secondary bilingual school and then I studied in Brno. That is where my journey as a teacher began. I lived in Brno for a few years and alongside my studies I started teaching in a language school, where I understood that this was the path I wanted to follow. After graduation I returned back to Slovakia where I continued teaching English. Since I believe that one learns throughout life, after a short break from college, I started to study another major. I believe that lifelong learning is a tremendous benefit for all of us and it is never too late to acquire new knowledge. I always remind my students of this, too, where I feel we pass on valuable information and experience to each other. Every student is special to me, and I always approach each one individually, with empathy and commitment.
