How we use AI in English classes for corporate customers

Example of cooperation between Harmony Academy and Wienerberger

At Harmony Academy, we believe that teaching English in a corporate environment can be more than just a drill of grammar and vocabulary. It can be a space for innovation, critical thinking and creativity. And thanks to AI, we're taking those possibilities even further.

A great example is our English lesson that I conducted on 5 May 2025 together with Juraj Kabát, Head of Engineering at Wienerberger. This lesson was in the spirit of AI-assisted creative writing and resulted in a unique science fiction article "The Doomsday Factories", authored by Juraj (in his 7th reincarnation).

How "Story Number 5" was born 🪄

The activity called "The Story of the Number 5" came about in 2014 quite by accident - I was trying to intuitively tune in to my student during one of her lessons, and looking at the calendar on my desk, the date 5.5 flashed on me .
This lesson stuck in my mind even more when we discovered that the two fives were associated with her father's birth date. In that moment, it was as if he had sent her a gift through the story she had written.

We have now enriched this activity with:
📩 self-reflection after writing,
📩 communication with chatGPT,
📩 production of marketing material.

AI as a bridge between language learning and creativity

Within the lesson we used AI tools:

  • ChatGPT as a partner in brainstorming techniques, which helped Juraj develop the sci-fi story into a satirical article from the 27th century.
  • AI language assistant to fine-tune English grammar, collocations and stylistics.
  • AI to create visuals and cover art for the article to make the result look authentic and professional.

The activity "The Story of Number 5" was based on the letters of the word FIVE, which formed the basis of the vocabulary and the theme of the story created by Juraj:

  • F - Fairness, Family, Factory, Funding, Friends
  • I - Inspiration, Intuition, Integration, Intelligence
  • V - Voice, Vision, Variable, Vehicle, Vote
  • E - Emotions, Eating, Emissions, Engineering, Enthusiasm

Learning with ease, playfulness and AI

This experience shows how AI can both enrich and develop English language learning, even for technically oriented clients like Wienerberger:

  • creative thinking,
  • strategic communication,
  • the ability to link language to both the professional and personal worlds.

For me personally, it's proof that learning with ease and creativity is a journey I enjoy.

The Doomsday Factories
A magazine article from the 27th century
Written by Juraj Kabát (his 7th reincarnation)
Once upon a time, there was a family of intelligent, emission-producing factories. These factories belonged to the vehicle-eating industry-a bizarre but booming sector of the 25th century. In order to keep running, the factories had to "eat" vehicles, which somehow fueled their emotions.
They were enthusiastically designed by a friendly group of engineers who used their intuition and intelligence to secure fair funding. Each factory was integrated into a global organization called the Global Party for Factory Independence (GPFI).
At GPFI meetings, every factory had a voice-and each voice represented a vote. Their collective vision was to promote variable working conditions around the world, ensuring that every factory could operate freely and fairly.
The inspirational rise of GPFI in the late 26th century-and the dramatic riots that followed-became the foundation of the hit Bollywood film The Doomsday Factories, which won 27 Indian Academy Awards. The film's director, Christopher Nolam, described it as the greatest success of his 5th reincarnation.
