Looking back to 2023 and targets for 2024.
Together we have entered the new year of 2024, and it is a time for both the expression of wishes, expectations and hopes and for a brief recap of 2023.
Let me wish you robust health, happiness, love, prosperity, understanding and joy in 2024. May you always find in it an abundance of everything you need for a successful, peaceful and joyful voyage towards the goals you set for yourself in it. May you have both the will and the courage to follow your vision and always have the right people by your side .
In the following lines, I will summarize what we at Harmony Academy have strengthened in 2023, what we have parted with and what we expect from 2024.
The year 2023 was the year for Harmony Academy in which we
On the 1st, the full-time teaching of children and juniors at the primary school in White Church started,
2. implemented online language training for our corporate clients, whose operations are scattered all over Slovakia,
3. successfully completed the international Erasmus plus project "Promoting a culture of knowledge sharing in learning organisations",
4. inaugurated the international Erasmus plus project "Creation of a network of excellent ULCA schools",
5. trained our trainers, managers and marketers in the innovative "Smart Mindset" transformation programme,
6. developed and supported the successful implementation of Learn & Lead innovation through our expert trainers, who trained an additional set of innovative trainers, teachers and managers,
7. as the authors of the Learn & Lead innovation, we are extremely pleased that the elective course "Teacher Self-Management Learn & Lead" within the Master's programme at the Faculty of Education of the Catholic University in Ružomberok has opened and will be filled with its first students in autumn 2023,
8. launched an internal project "Intrapreneurship", through which we improve the working environment of our organisation, in which we strengthen

- creating a working space for the successful self-realization of our lecturers,
- the working conditions of our managers who ensure our sustainable development in the way KNOWLO (KA2 Erasmus+)
- Connecting life in our classrooms with the public, especially through the work of our marketers,
- Finding new opportunities for our researchers who link our education to the labour market and our public education system,
-knowledge sharing in learning organisations, following up on the initial two trainings "How to become a modern learning organisation", which we implemented in autumn 2023 within the project Supporting a culture of knowledge sharing in learning organisations (harmony.sk).
On the 9th we started our 24th school year, also with the partner organisations of the Learn &Lead innovation in Slovakia - the language teaching centre Petrasso from Nitra and two representatives from Bratislava - Plus Academia and iCan language school.
From the new year 2024 we expect only the best that we can achieve together. Our team is ambitious and convinced of the need to spread innovative practices and solutions, not only in foreign language teaching, but especially in the way we approach, communicate with, guide, lead and develop people in the workplace in general. We recognise the power of teams and working together to achieve common goals. For years, we have been creating national and international partnerships with which we can realise even the most ambitious plans and visions.
The main objectives of Harmony Academy for the school year 2023/24 are
- To make language learning more attractive for all age groups, especially in cooperation with our expert teachers and customers,
- Develop and complete the Harmony Academy leadership team,
- Continue the transformation process through development projects - the Intrapreneurship project and the Creating an Innovative Network of Excellence ULCA Schools project,
- Revitalise the programme offering with added value of personal and professional development,
- Strengthen cooperation with Learn & Lead Innovation Centres in Slovakia and worldwide and develop an exclusive educational programme offer for schools and educational organisations
Personally, I am also looking forward to our publishing activities directly linked to the Learn & Lead innovation, which this year is aimed at teachers, as well as grassroots employees, managers, entrepreneurs and young adults. Already in the first half of 2024, Gabriela Lojova's fans can look forward to an updated edition of her publication "Let's Learn More Effectively", which will be available in both Slovak and English. Those of you who are familiar with our 9 Principles of Modern Man Learn & Lead can look forward to its sequel, when their next principle will see the light of day. Both books aim to strengthen the implementation of Learn & Lead innovation in our schools, businesses, families and society at large. They are the result of accumulated experience and expertise and a source of inspiration for anyone who wants to improve and enhance their life and the life around them.
Linking activities and goals in direct connection to the Learn & Lead innovation brings to Harmony Academy a competitive advantage over other educational organizations, especially in the people behind it. It connects us professionally and personally to those people and professionals who have joined us along the way as we have developed and implemented it. One by one, each with their own needs, interests and motivations. The colouring of their personalities, professional backgrounds as well as their attitudes, values and opinions create the uniqueness of this innovation, which is best placed to empower people in organisations and fully connect them in joy, commitment and passion for common goals and visions. We will bring you their step-by-step introductions in a series of conversations throughout 2024.
We have a lot to look forward to together in 2024, so let's get to it!
