The world of education is undergoing dynamic changes that require new approaches and solutions. It is for this reason that the International Association of Innovative Educational Teachers and Managers (IAITME) was founded, bringing together professionals from all over the world to improve the quality of education and bring new innovative practices to it.
IAITME was created as part of the ambitious project "Creating a network of excellent ULCA schools" (also known by the acronym NELCA)initiated by Harmony Academy within an international consortium of partners coordinated by the Faculty of Education of the Catholic University of Ružomberok. This project aims to create a network of schools that actively apply innovative approaches in education and management, thus becoming leaders in their field. The NELCA project supports schools and educational institutions in introducing state-of-the-art educational methods and innovations that help to improve the quality of teaching and the achievement of better results for pupils. It builds on and further develops the continuously evolving Learn & Lead Innovation, which brings to schools the systematic development of the professional and personal competences of their teachers and leaders, both in a learner-centred and a Learn & Lead approach. Together, they create an inspiring environment in which it is a joy to learn.
The objectives of the NELCA project include:
- Connecting leaders in education: creating a network of innovative schools that support, share and inspire each other. This creates a platform for mutual collaboration and professional growth.
- Promoting modern teaching methods: schools participating in the NELCA project implement innovative didactic approaches that take into account the individual needs of pupils and increase their engagement in learning.
- Management and organisation of schools: The project is also dedicated to improving the management of schools to ensure more effective management of educational institutions that can respond flexibly to the challenges of modern education.
- Cooperation with international experts: the project involves close cooperation with foreign institutions, which allows to draw on global experience and introduce the best global practices into the Slovak education system.
IAITME was created in response to the need for continuous innovation in education, which NELCA actively supports. Its aim is to create a platform for the exchange of experience and inspiration between teachers, schools and managers of educational institutions. The main focus of the association is on improving the quality of teaching and the attractiveness of the teaching profession, introducing innovation, and at the same time contributing to improving the position of people and organisations working in the education sector in the labour market.
The founders of the association are renowned experts in the field of education, such as Markéta Rusnáková, Branislav Kľuska and Jana Chynoradská, who have long been involved in the introduction of innovations into educational processes. IAITME is based in Ružomberok, but its mission and influence are international. Although IAITME was founded in Slovakia, it already has fans at home and in the NELCA project partner countries of Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Northern Macedonia. And these countries are just the beginning.
Our new IAITME Association is a natural outgrowth and confirmation of our efforts to improve the quality of education and raise the social status of people working in educational organisations. We have a clear vision of what it is that will set IAITME apart from the rest and thus support high quality, passionate and committed teachers, lecturers, principals, founders or parents of children to promote humanistic and holistic approaches in education.
