"Learn & Lead has brought a lot of challenges to my life"
The first-ever awards in Learn & Lead history were a big and long-awaited event for 2021. We had the opportunity to meet and make new friends Learn & Lead. Even Harmony Academy itself with its representatives received not one award. We would like to enter the New Year with gratitude and inspiration for 2022, so let me introduce you to the winner of the Learn & Lead Awards 2021 personality category - Andrea Rebro.
Andrea Rebrová has been working with Harmony Academy almost since its inception. She is very popular among students and colleagues, which reflects her joy in learning and her professional qualities. Andrea has brought a lot of impetus to us over the years and with her approach she contributed to building our brand between 2001 and 2014. Since then, she has been working as a freelancer and has her own clientele, which actually underlines our work and the path of development of lecturers along their professional and managerial lines. Those who decide to leave the gates of Harmony and go their own way continue to do an excellent job for their students naturally, bringing together high-quality teaching to the widest possible group of pupils and students. Andrea is one of those who have not completely disconnected, and with her excellent work, she contributes, albeit marginally, to the Harmony brand even today.
It was a pleasure to reach out to her and interview her to describe this significant moment of hers in the Learn & Lead community.
Please tell us a few words about yourself.
I am a teacher in body and soul. I studied primary education and English at the Faculty of Education in Nitra and have been working in education for more than 25 years. Learning is my passion. I love being part of someone's personal journey, I love learning from my students who bring a different perspective to my life.
What does Learn & Lead mean to you? How do you relate to him?
I have been part of the project since its beginning, I participated in the creation of innovative modules for teachers and trainers focused mainly on the theory of multiple intelligences, I am involved in testing new programs developed within the concept of Learn and Lead. This concept has brought many challenges to my life. A lot of questions that required thinking unconventionally. I met a lot of new people and cultures, for which I am grateful.
How do you feel about winning?
Honestly? Pure shock! With most of the activities moving online during the Covid period, I didn't expect people to be so active in voting and "reminiscing about the good times" in classrooms, which have always been fun for us to learn and a social event. I am therefore grateful to all my soulmates for sending their votes in spite of everything.
What was the moment with the Learn & Lead Awards?
It was great to meet again in the company of people from different parts of the world with a common interest in education. In this online age, I am becoming more and more aware of how precious face-to-face meetings are. Even though we were online, the atmosphere was great, everyone was tuned to the "right" wave and full of expectations of what was actually going to happen, as this award format had its world premiere. So smiling faces, surprises and a lot of emotions remain in my memory.

We believe that the first-ever Learn & Lead Awards 2021 will be an inspiration and a driving force for future years and achievements that we can achieve together.
